GRINDING OF TEETH "BRUXISM"
Bruxism is excessive teeth grinding or jaw clenching. It is an oral parafunctional activity, it is unrelated to normal function such as eating or talking.
Consequences of Bruxism
The consequences of bruxism are numerous:
- Premature wear of teeth, premature aging
 - Breakage of fillings, crowns or prostheses;
 - Headache ; Muscle spasm
 - Pain in the jaw and temporomandibular joint at awakening and the teeth

			HOW TO TREAT THE GRINDING OF TEETH?
The management of bruxism includes the wearing of an occlusal plate to prevent dental damage. Custom designed from tooth impressions, an occlusal plate is an acrylic gutter that covers the chewing surface of the teeth. It is mainly worn at night and can be worn during the day, and prevents the upper teeth from coming into contact with the lower teeth.
